Lara Coulier
PhD student in empirical macroeconomics at the Department of Economics, Ghent University
I am a sixth-year PhD student at the Department of Economics at Ghent University and I will be going on the Job Market at the end of 2024 (available for positions from September 2025 onwards).
I am part of the Macroeconomics, Policy and Econometrics research area and my research mainly focuses on macroprudential policy, monetary policy transmission, and financial stability in its various aspects. More specifically, I have investigated the stability of the credit market, housing markets, household finance, and interest rate risk in the banking book. I spent one year at the European Central Bank as a PhD trainee in DG Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability.
For my research, I obtained funding from the Ghent University Special Research Fund (BOF, 2020-2021) and the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO-Vlaanderen, 2021-2024).
